DO NOT EAT THE SAME DAY THAT YOU MAKE IT! The mint flavor is way too strong and it seems to mellow down after it sits in the freezer for a day or two. I love the combination of the pomegranate and orange juices, but the mint is just a little too overpowering. It's Pomegranate & Mint Sorbet, not Mint Sorbet. Next time I make it I will try using 1/2 cup of mint and see how that goes.

I made this without an ice cream maker. I stirred every thirty minutes for the first couple hours. This turned out awesome!!!!! My husband and I LOVED it! I did not find the mint to be overpowering at all. I thought it was a perfect blend of flavors!

This is delicious! I used two packages of 2/3 oz each of mint, and it was just right. I left a few leaves out for garnish. Hope this helps. Can't wait for summer so I can use my own mint and not have to pay for it! This recipe is outstanding and I'm making another batch today.

I brought this one into work and everyone loved it and thought it was very refreshing. I don't think they were just "being nice" because the sorbet was finished without leftovers. I don't think the mint was too strong at all. I think the other reviews that said the mint was too strong probably put too much mint. Also, I left out the chocolate chips (I kept it on the side as an option. I thought it might have been a little too sweet for my tastes, but some of my coworkers thought it was the right amount of sweet.

I don't care about the sorbet really, I just want to know where she got those tall stemmed sorbet cups with the little dome lids that she used on the show! Does anyone know?

When I heard of this recipe, the combination of flavors was intriguing. But then I made it and was a bit disappointed. The mint overpowered every aspect of the dish so you couldn't even taste the pomegranate. Giada's dishes usually turned out perfect, but this one was a disaster.

Hey Girl....you always FULLY read a recipe before you start. Then you would have seen the process of making the minty syrup ahead of time. Can't blame the person who created it when you haven't fully read it! (We have probably all been there and done that, myself included! It is a bit sweet, so next time I will adjust that...but YUMMY and refreshing, and a nice change from the norm! Thanks Giada!

First, I tried it and didn't like it. After that, I had my daughter try it...she didn't like it either. She spit it out and said" it was like squiting toothpaste in her mouth. Hours later when my daughter wasn't around, I had my son try it. He did the same thing and said the exact words as my daughter did. Had to throw it out :(
