this was a great, super easy recipe. i actually tried it with halibut steaks which seemed to be a better fit, but both are delicious!

Served this to the entire family and we all agreed that it wasn't that great. I'm not a huge fan of fennel and did not care for the over all flavor. However, the pork was very moist.

This was great! Easy, simple and delicious! I have made it twice and both times it has come out quite tasty. The second time I realized at last minute I did not have fennel so I replaced the fennel with: celery, onion and anise seeds. It still came out delicious!

I've been looking for a recipe to try fennel. It's used a bit on foodnetwork, but I've never had the guts to just give it a go until now. It was iffy at first but ended up quite delicious.

This was very good. My husband and 2 1/2 year old son liked it a lot. We love fennel so I made sure to use two large bulbs. I seasoned with salt at each stage of adding ingredients. I did not have white wine so I used chicken broth. I also will use 3 tablespoons of capers next time - I love capers. I used crushed tomatoes instead of chopped and used only 21 oz. It made a nice sauce. To get the two inch chops to cook quickly just keep the sauce bubbling high and I did use a thermometer to see when the meat was done170 degrees. The pork was very moist. I served it with pasta. MMM. I will make this again, maybe with chicken breasts too for a change.
