We did this recipe a few times .. and we felt in love with it so bad .. that we're going to make it as our christmas dinner... Its nice, elegant, the flavors goes so well together with Giada's mashed potatoes its just Perfect !!

It does take a little time to make... but it's so worth it !!
You need to give it a try !!

I was skeptical about the high temperature method, but this is fabulous. If you've ever had dried-out pork loin, you'll be sooo happy with this recipe. The mission fig sauce is very good, but the pork is excellent on its own.

This recipe is really not that hard and it tastes wonderful. I used fresh figs off my tree.

Today was the first time I tried any of your receipes and it turned out just like you said it would on TV. the pork was tender and juicy. Not only did the port, fig sauce aroma permeate the whole whole it was delicious on the pork. Before I started watching giada I was never very adventurous in my cooking. This was one of the best pork dishes I have made. I seared the outside first with the rosemary oil and then roasted. I used a smaller roast (2 and 1/2 lbs and it took almost an hour to cook through. But it was so juicy! The au jus was not needed on the pork but make it anyway to serve slightly thickened over mashed potatoes. YUMMY! I also served with roasted asparagus with a dash of balsamic vinegar and it complimented everything very nicely. Surely will make again!

This dish is great and super impressive for people like -- your in-laws! I cheated and bought some bottled fig sauce as I was afraid they would not go for it - but, they were tempted to go for the pot I warmed it up in! Great for entertaining. Thank you Giada!
