FABULOUS !! I use pork tenderloins instead of chops, so I increase the herb/garlic mixture. For those who state the marmellata was too sweet, if you use just a standard yellow onion this will help lessen the sweetness vs a red onion or a white onion. A beautifully elegant dish that will impress family & friends. And super easy to prepare.

To say that this dish is sweet is an understatement. I used 75% of the marmalade called for and omitted the extra sugar. Still, it was almost inedibly sweet for me. For my family, it was inedibly sweet - most of it went in the trash..

LOVE this!!! I have made it several times and can't get enough. I do agree that it CAN be a little sweet, so I back off the sugar and marmalade slightly, but such a great dish. Fairly easy and not too time consuming, The onions take 2 hours to cook, but just stirring every so often is all that takes. Actual prep and cook time is great for such an easy dish. Having formal company tomorrow night, and the first thought to make a great dinner everyone will love was this!!!

The sweet onion marmalade was very tasty! I would probably try this on chicken and perhaps a burger.

I cook a lot and have made several of Giada's recipes - usually with quite pleasing results. I made this dish based on the great reviews. I can understand why so many people liked it; it isn't dreadful. However, I very much prefer more savory dishes over sweeter dishes. The marmellata is very, very sweet (sugar, balsamic vinegar, sweet onions and orange marmalade. Now that I look back on the recipe, I'm disappointed I didn't anticipate this - my bad. Here are some recommendations for those who like a little less sweetness: Do not add the sugar; Instead of balsamic vinegar use a less sweet acid (e.g., cider, white, or red vinegar or even just a lemon; Use more herbs than you think - the sweetness completely overwhelmed the other flavors. I hope this helps and have fun.

YUM! Be patient with the caramelized onion process. It takes a long time, but definitely worth it. Such a sweet and salty dish.

Giada does it again. The flavors were delicious and because the onions were cooked low and slow the natural sugars came out and combined with the orange marmalade it created a wonderful sweet topping. The balsamic vinegar cut that sweetness nicely so that it wasn't too sweet. I had bone in pork chops on hand so I used those, but the topping had to be removed when I got closer to the bone in order to cut around it. I will definitely make this again.

great flavors! deducted a star because it wasnt SO good it changed my thoughts on pork. Still not a fan. the sweet onion marmellata is to die for! I could eat it by the spoonful. If you arent a big fan of pork, I would definately try the marmellata with chicken. yum!

This dish is fantastic! I routinely make Giada's recipes and this is among the best. I used a bone in chop which my husband grilled. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this! Substituted sugar-free marmalade and splenda though. My only criticism is that next time I am going to substitute dried thyme and rosemary for fresh. After cooking for 2 hours, the flavors from them were a little overwhelming.
