This recipe was so easy and so tasty. I've also used the pearl onions instead of the cippolini onions and it worked out great.

I wasn't sure if i was going to like having whole little onions with my potatoes, but it was like having burst of onion rings. It really complimented the onions.

I make this all the time and I must tell you, it gets better every time! :-
Last night I added (first time 4-5 garlic cloves (unpeeled and it just added a hint of garlic. Not necessary with this recipe, but just a twist. Along side served fresh green beans with shallots and steak with a tomato/shallot/vingegar/basil marinade and I'm telling you what...awesome!! Thanks Giada!!!! Another dish well done!

It was a very goood dish, with extra special time and care it came out perfect lightly brown on top and a little olive oil at bottom after to keep it very soft.420

I made these the other night. I couldn't find the same type of onions that the recipe called for so I used small pearl onions. They came out great! I will be making this one a lot, especially since the weather is starting to get cold.

This was so easy to make ahead-- took it over to my boyfriend's house when he made steaks for dinner-- and the results were delicious. Looks pretty too with the red potatoes and white/yellow onions, which were pleasantly mild and sweet.

I just love this recipe! I had some left over and on a whim, I poured about 1-2 cups milk into the blender, plopped the leftover in and gave it a whirl! Then I put in some chicken diced up some potatoes and gave them a quick saute in a pan with butter/olive oil. I poured the soup into a pot, tossed in some of the potatoes and heated it. To serve, I put some crispy potatoes into a mug, poured the soup over it and then sprinkled some cheddar cheese. YUM!

This recipe is Great!!! I have tryed many recipes for roasted potatoes and this was by far the best. Just a warning, they are so good that you can't stop eating them.
