Fabulous! This was my first attempt to cook rack of lamb, and it has turned out delicious two times! The pesto sauce is the only involved portion of the recipe, but it complements the lamb perfectly. When I prepared it for a non lamb-eating friend, his comment was, "I'm going to have to buy some lamb!"

Haven't tried it yet but I am not sure at what point the racks etc can be made ahead.

It was simply delicious. I paired with red wine and potato gratin and everything turn out perfect. Really easy to make, even for me that I barely cook. Thanks Giada

Great! The pesto is easy to make ahead of time and just chill, completely covered with plastic wrap. I cut the chops and broiled them per Giada's suggestion and they turned out delicious as "lamb lollipops". Next time I may try to grill them up on a hot pan so they get more color. Overall these were tender and delicious, and would make a great party dish.

I made this for Christmas dinner. It was superb. I followed the recipe exactly. I served the pesto on the side and everyone enjoyed it. I would make this again.

The mint pesto is phenomenal! I've made it 4 times and my guests couldn't have enough of it every single time. The freshness of basil and mint is extremely important. I normally had to use more if bought from supermarket than from farmer’s market.
I actually did this one with a twist. I was out of walnuts or pine nuts the 1st time I made it. So I used my wasabi-covered almonds. Oh I never switched back to the original recipe. The wasabi in the almond gives a light kick to make the taste completely layered. You have the coolness of mint going through your nose, the while the basil and lemon freshness filling up your mouth. Slowly the creamy flavor of nuts and cheese will follow. In the mist of it, there is the kick from the wasabi. I have my own rack of lamb recipe to accompany this pesto so I haven't tried Giada's way.

Wasn't sure I would like the lamb, but this recipe provided the perfect flavor for the meat and it was very easy to do.
