If I could give more stars, I would! I make this now every holiday, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! I make this now instead of my family recipe stuffing. The sausage/cranberry combination is what make it. The red pepper is the little best surprise.

Amazing! Rave reviews from our guests during the holidays. Just got another e-mail today from a friend asking for the recipe. I used day old bread - Texas Toast style. Will be making again - and won't be waiting for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Do try!

I made this for Christmas. Very good. Trader Joes was out of bottled chesnuts so I got fresh and roasted in oven. I dont know how much flavor the chesnuts added actually, and may omit next time. However the mix of cranberrys and red pepper spice and sausage (I used sweet itallian pork was excellent. I did used regular crusty bread and not corn bread, based on prior reviews. Next time I may add some green pepper with the apple and onion mix.

Totally delicious; this was the recipe I was looking for. We had thanksgiving this weekend, and between Alton Brown's brined bird and this dressing, we are totally satisfied x 10.

Unfortunately, my experience in making this was that it tasted terrible. I was very excited to try it for Thanksgiving and followed the recipe which indicated you could use white bread or cornbread, so I tried sweet Hawaiian bread. The results were a brown soggy mess and it tasted awful. Also, it was a lot of time to prepare. Maybe if I had used different bread it would have been better. I had to resort to using stovetop stuffing. :(

I decided to try Raffey's recipe this year since I was not having anyone over for Thanksgiving and would not have to hear "but this isn't mom's/your mother's/your usual" stuffing. I have tried many of Giada's recipes in the past and her track record is excellent. I have to be honest, though, and say that this stuffing did not live up to my expectations. I think if I had made it with regular bread cubes I would have liked it better. The cornbread just didn't do it for me. The only change I did make was to use regular Italian sweet sausage instead of turkey sausage. I don't know what all the fuss was about, but I will be returning to the tried and true next year.

A wonderful change to our traditional sage celery and onion stuffing. This is my NEW TRADITION. I omitted the cheese (personal preference and it was amazing!!! Thanks Giada!

This is the perfect dressing recipe. I have done it for several years, and its always a hit. I do not use chestnuts all of the time as they are so pricey and sometimes hard to find. I find that walnuts are a suitable substitute and complement to the dish. If you are looking for an easy go to dressing, this is the one!

I have made this stuffing recipe for the last 4 Thanksgivings! It's delicious and has become my family's traditional Thanksgiving Stuffing!
