I love this recipe. I made it for dessert after a taco meal. If you like Ricotta which I do then you will love this.

I bought ricotta that was already creamy, so I didn't have any chalky problem, and this WAS creamy, but it just lacked taste beyond the creaminess. It tasted as though I was just eating a bowl of whipped cream, even though I added many more fresh raspberries to the mix. I was hoping for something more like the filling of a cannoli. Oh well.......

Mine was not grainy - I recommend really blending it well before adding the whipped cream. It's a gorgeous color. The guests that like Ricotta loved the dessert but it doesn't thrill everyone. I loved it too.

It looks sooo creamy. I couldnt eat it. It was very chalky. My husband enjoyed the flavor and ate it anyway, but I wish I had read the reviews first!

for a mousse, this was excellent, very smooth and sweet. mine did not come out grainy which seems to be a problem with some of the other reviews. i think perhaps the grainy texture is resulting from the brand of raspberry jam. i used smuckers which was smooth and didn't have any raspberry seeds. also i used a whole milk ricotta cheese from Fresh Market and the ricotta flavor was not detectable. i like one of the other suggestions to add a little Brandy, i will try that next time.

A little too much Ricotta taste for me but my husband, brother inlaw, and nephew loved it! Will make again for them! Thanks, was very simple and easy to make! Good Job Giada, I love your show and especially Jade she is so adorable! She's getting so big!

I have to agree with everyone, It was a good dessert and very easy to make but it was a bit to grainy.

The mousse was very good, but it was a little bit grainy. The ricotta really stands out so I don't think this dessert is for everyone, but I found it amazing. It's sooo easy to prepare.
