The real Italian lady fingers are crunchy, better make the regular tiramisu, which you have to soak in the espresso or coffee. This is better to use the soft lady fingers - Trader Joe's have them sometimes... Try using 2 Angel food cake (loaffrom the market, slice into three layers, it's light, and easy to lay. Strawberry works too.

I used pound cake and everyone loved it. I was concerned about using the Liqueur but it was really good.

Addendum: it just needed more time in the fridge. This morning it was perfect! Sacre bleu!

Wow....wow...wow!!! This is definitely a keeper! Kids and adults will love this dessert. Not only is it easy, it is absolutely beautiful and tasty! I can't wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow.
I made it exactly as written and assembled it the day before. I found the ingredients to be more than plentiful...we found it to be perfectly moist!

Just made this for Mother's Day brunch. I expected more of a soft moist like tiramisu, except with raspberry flavors. It seemed dry and maybe pound cake might be a better choice, as it is moister to begin with. I have to agree with the other post saying that I used more ladyfingers for my 9x13" pan. If I were going to make again ( probably will, flavor profile was great,
I would double the amount of raspberry jam, maybe even thin it more with the liquor and possibly soak (if I used ladyfingers again in raspberry flavored liquor a little to help. Flavors were great!

This made an awesome birthday cake. Not only was it unbelievably tasty and fresh, but it looked great and one of the kids loved it because it didn't taste like "gross coffee". = Will definitely make again.

Delicious. Made it for a party and both teens and parents loved it. I read the reviews and only made adjusted for the raspberry sauce and cheese/whipped cream (I made 1-1/2x what the recipe called for and it was perfect.

The dessert was light and wonderful. Will definitely be made regularly in our home. Highly recommended. Thank you, Giada!

I've made this twice in the last month two different ways. First off if you like mushy and soggy traditional tiramisu don't make this. I use Schar gluten free lady fingers - they hold up and don't get soggy.
First time I did not use Grand Marnier, family member doesn't consume alcohol. I used orange juice in the jam as well as orange juice and raspberry extract in the mascarpone, great mixture of flavor. The other night I made it the original way and I gotta say I like it with the orange juice and raspberry extract better. Either way great flavor and not soggy. Love it and a keeper.

I would give this recipe 5 stars for flavor, but following the recipe exactly, the ladyfingers (I used Savoiardi brand did not soften up as they should have and the end result was not soft and spongy, like the traditional tiramisu texture. I had a feeling they weren't going to soften up right because there was not enough of the raspberry jam mixture to sufficiently cover both layers (I used nearly four packages of ladyfingers in my 9x13 pyrex, fyi. Next time I will soak the ladyfingers in either orange juice or milk before layering them, and double the jam mixture. Will definitely try it again because the flavor was delicious!
