This was very good! Just make sure to fully blend the mascarpone or else it's lumpy.

I made this dessert for a work function & it got so many raves! One employee went for "thirds" of this dessert!
It was easy to make & prepare. I couldn't find soft lady fingers, so I just got hard lady fingers from a market so at least they would be the freshest hard lady fingers. I also used Grand Marnier which was beautiful tasting with the raspberry jam (I did find seedless at every grocery store.
I made it & let it soak in the fridge for probably longer than I needed to - about 8 hours, I'm sure half that would have been fine but I was concerned about the hard lady fingers.
It turned out great! I even used good quality frozen raspberries & defrosted them partially before adding them to the dessert. No one could tell! Everyone said how nice it was to have a raspberry dessert in the middle of winter!

I'm usually a fan of Giada's recipes but I wasn't crazy about this one. I thought it had too much alcohol taste in it. My husband tried it (he loves raspberries and commented that it needed more of the jelly layer so that you could taste more raspberry. It tastes mostly like the Grand Marnier and mascarpone cheese. I might try it again with more jelly and less alcohol. I served it in a trifle bowl and it did look very pretty and festive.

Can't believe how easy the prep was- I made individual sized portions in several small bowls. I also dressed it up with some cocoa sprinkled over the top.

This recipe was extremely easy and was absolutely awesome. I only had 4 for dinner so I halved the recipe and put it in a truffle bowl. It looked beautiful and tasted incredible!

you must use soft lady fingers for this recipe, the hard ones need to be soaked like in a traditional tiramisu. I substituted Chambord (raspberry liqueurfor the Grand Marnier. I would recommend letting it sit overnight for maximum flavor. everyone enjoyed it will definatly make it again.
