Squisito! I wouldn't change a thing. Have made it several times (much to the dismay of my waistline!, and it's the best rice pudding ever... EVER! Grazie, Giada!

The flavor is very good, especially with more rum. I tried making it with short grain brown rice and it was way too much sauce for the 2/3 cup rice, causing it to not thicken properly. I thickened the mixture with 6 egg yolks and made a custard. The orange with the rum and creamy custard flavor was excellent. I also soaked raisins in rum and mixed them in at the end.

I have made this several times for holidays and it is a HIT. I also do half cream half milk...add a little extra rum. It is really great for Christmas.

This was amazing. I used half milk and half heavy cream. The orange and vanilla flavors blend well. So delicious and easy.

This was delicious, Giada you never disappoint! I added raisins to mine that I rehydrated in about 1/4 cup of hot rum, and drained them before adding along with the orange zest and sugar. If you like raisins in yours, I recommend giving it a try - loved it.

I LOVED this recipe! I tweaked it a little bit to make it my own of course but it was exactly what I was looking for. 6 cups milk, 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Stay patient with the temperature, keep it low and stir often! You won't regret it! I think I stirred for an hour straight! Creamy and delicious MUAH! Delicioso!

This is the first time I fixed a rice pudding.... I know.. it is supposed to be so easy but I never cooked any desserts before and this is my husband's favorite so I thought I give it a try and I couldn't be more pleased. I noticed that we have run out of dark rum so I substitute with Grand Manier, sprinkled some cinnamon and it is just D E L I C I O U S!!!
Thank You Giada; I can't wait to try another of your great recipes...I watch you all the time :

My daughter made this for my birthday dinner last night, and it was delicious! The creamy texture and subtle orange and rum flavors were a perfect finish to the meal. I will be making it soon, as I want to try it warm.

This was delicious, I did not add the rum, instead added dried craisins and topped with sliced toasted almonds.
