Ricotta - Not Just for Lasagna

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
My daughter & I love this recipe. The beauty of Italian cooking is its freshness of ingredients. You have to use the best... ricotta ..... No Dragone here. To the reviewer who said ricotta is not for desserts -- just for lasagna, yikes!!! Have you ever had a cannoli? A piece of ricotta cheesecake? Look around this site & you'll see that ricotta is used in Italy in desserts all the time. Murray's Cheese Shop (online) has 8 oz. containers of the best, creamiest, freshest ricotta ever. Really no need to measure this recipe. Just spoon the cheese into a pretty dessert dish, sprinkle w/ chocolate, sprinkle w/ raspberries, add a little honey (don't get hung up on the biscotti if you don't have it) & there you are. Don't expect it to be too sweet, it's not. It's just creamy deliciousness. Enjoy!Read more
