This is a great dish. Lightly flavored and it's a different take on ordinary tomatoe sauce. I love it!

WOW! I don't know what the other people are talking about when they say it has no flavor. It is sooo good and it's not that sweet. I even added a little garlic to the shrimp and more cheese and it topped it off! Do try this one!

This was so good. I made it for my boyfriend because he said he wanted a change and he loved it. It was really easy to make. I didn't have whole milk so I put 1/8 cup heavy cream and 1/8 cup 2% milk.

I saw Giada make this and thought it looked and sounded great, probably because it looked like macaroni and cheese (my ultimate comfort food. It was a hit among skeptics. I made the puree portion earlier in the day and added the pasta and milk, etc., to the reheated puree just prior to serving. Omitting tne shrimp, it was a great side dish for turkey.

I loved this meal. I changed a few things though because of the negative reviews. I changed the salt to Garlic salt, the veg stock to chicken broth and added 1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper. It turned out great! A little heat with the basil was just right. Thank you for getting my kids to eat their veges without knowing!

i do not agree with the reviewers that said this was bland. I believe we made according to directions and we thought it was great. Made with shrimp and am now making it with chicken sausage. We did salt and add some good shavings of parm. thought it was a good contrast in sweet and salty.

My husband loves his meat! He loved this dish so much, I am now making it without the prawns. He loves the taste! The sauce is so sweet, it is like eating dessert with dinner!

i tried this recipe but used calamarata pasta (which looks like calamari rings also i added freshly ground nutmeg, which goes with squash, and added minced garlic while cooking the shrimp, did not add red pepper flakes, and sprinkled imported cheese from Italy on the finished dish in the pan. will try again. i agree with other reviews not one of her better recipes.
