This looked soooooooooo tasty on television, it doesn't taste like anything. It needs more flavor, tomatoes... garlic... something. I won't be making this again.

Without the modifications we made, this recipe would have been a bland mess. We caramelized some onions with the garlic, then added the squash, which we had roasted until browned in a 400-degree oven. Finally, before adding the stock, we deglazed the pan with a little dry white wine. Rescued a potentially dull dish.

This was a great recipe. I'll definately make again. I sprinkled bacon on the top and cooked the shrimp in the bacon drippings. I made the whole menu and it was great and easy to prepare.

I love sqaush, shrimp and pasta but all in all this came together pretty bland. If you have kids (i don't_ I would think that you can tell them the orange color is melted cheese and they'd never know the difference.

A better shrimp/pasta recipe by Giada is linguine with shrimp and lemon oil also on this site.

I used whole wheat pasta and fat free milk for this recipe, which took some of the rich taste away but overall it was a great dish. I would recommend it!

The sauce turns out very rich following the recipe as is. I sauteed swiss chard in a little olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes for ~8 minutes and served it over the rigatoni w/ squash puree. Very good - the swiss chard cut through the richness of the squash and made it taste that much better.

My family loved this dish. It's not bland at all if you season the pasta and sauce well. I used a bit more parmesan cheese and added the basil when I pureed it. You could taste it in every bite. It's my husband and 18-month-old's favorite!

This dish was absolutely fabulous. I make dinner very often for my boyfriend and this one of his favorites yet. The zucchini and asparagus salad was delicious as well. This is also a good one to entertain with since it's inexpensive (relatively and you can toss all the ingredients together at the end. You won't be slaving in the kitchen and it will leave plenty of time to mingle with your guests. This recipe is definetely a keeper!

Giada has some really great recipes. It can be very hard for me sometimes though because I suffer from Celiac Disease (cannot eat gluten and some of her panninis I cannot eat. Any tips? I can make this rigatoni using rice pasta. It is not as good as the real deal, but it is a good supplement. My wife is italian and I think she flatters me by saying she cannot taste the difference. Anyway, this is a fabulous recipe, so is the Vegetable Crudi (zuchini and asparagus. Giada, any tips for me on rissotto?
