While I was making the dish, my husband kept coming in o the kitchen to see what was being made. Then, at the first bite, he commented on how good it is, and he's a southern Italiian who's hard to please when it comes to pasta. Great job, Giada. (I loved it too!!

I read in another review that someone roasted the squash,so that is what I did. I also pureed the Basil in with the squash, bc I don't really care too much for it. Instead of rigatoni, I used whole wheat cheese tortellini and added portobella mushrooms for some protein, as my company was vegetarian. It was SO GOOD!!! I highly recommend this!

Our family loves this recipe. We are not all shrimp lovers so we just made it vegetarian.

This is a really simple recipe that comes out looking really pretty. I made it for a dinner party and everyone was asking for more. I found it to be a little bland as directed, I added a 1/4 tsp red pepper flake to give it a little kick. Great with chicken too!

I'm just learning how to cook and I wanted to make something that looked impressive, but that wasn't too hard to prepare. This is definitely that dish. I did exactly what the recipe said, and it turned out great. We loved it!

My husband and I loved this dish. I was especially impressed because the sauce made with the squash did not require any butter or flour. It was easy and delicious. I did not feel it was bland as others have said...only needed a little more salt and pepper added to my plate.

I served this for wine dinner featuring Pinot Grigio's and used Parmesan Crusted Chicken on top vs shrimp and it was excellent. Very easy to make and very good.

Agreed on the blandness. I followed the directions as specified (except used chicken instead of shrimp but it was the sauce was rather bland. It improved slightly when I added some crushed red pepper. Probably not a recipe I'll be making again anytime soon.
