This recipe is such an unexpectedly delicious mix of flavors. A great example of that balance of sweet/savory/spicy (etc. that the judges talk about on Top Chef all the time! We've always made it with a Boboli whole wheat pizza crust to save a little time & effort. I don't normally like gorgonzola cheese or red pepper flakes, but the flavors really do complement each other.

I just made this and it was so delicious and easy! i skipped the arugula, and added caramelized onions and fresh basil. Instead of mozz and Gorgonzola, i used a goat cheese with natural food-grade ash. yum yum yum!

The combination of cheese with the squash is divine.

I love just about everything, but I couldn't get past the Maple Syrup on this one. Acorn squash and maple syrup ,Yes. But in combo with everything else? No.
I did use SF syrup! That's all I ever have. Might not have been such a repulsive out-of-place maple flavor if I used real maple syrup. I will make this again, but will leave out the syrup.

i absolutely LOVE this pizza recipe and have made it several times. the one thing i changed about it though was the final topping....i added chopped fresh basil leaves instead due to availability at the grocery that day and i think it added tremendously to the dish. it gave it a great spicy bite on top of the sweetness from the squash and the saltyness of the cheese. thanks giada!

I love all the ingredients, so I figured the pizza would be good. Not so. Waste of time and money. Terrible!

I made this with whole wheat tortillas as pizza crust, so less cheese and less time in the oven. It was good with arugula. I found that I needed to get all the components (cheese, arugula, squash in one bite or it tasted weird.
My husband liked it, but we call it "funny pizza" because it's not much like pizza and tastes funny, in a good way.

I used Martha Stewart's pizza crust from "Comfort Food" This was outstanding!

What! I can't believe how good this recipe taste. Easy to make, flavors are savory and could easily make a fun appetizer or a sweet snack.

I used baby spinach instead of arugula. The blend of the two cheeses and the sweetness of the maple syrup give this recipe and A+ in my book!

This looked so good and delicious on TV, but mine was a nightmare!
I used fresh mozzarella and gorgonzola dolce. The cheese melted into a crispy crust on top of the pizza. My dough also rose and bubbled in weird places.
I'd love to try again. Any suggestions?
