This is very easy to make & tastes wonderful! Neither of my boys would touch asparagus until I made it this way, now they love it and even ask me to make it!

I make these for most of my dinner parties, but with a little twist. I do not blanch the asparagus. I simply lay out my prosciutto and spread each one with roasted garlic cream cheese (in food processor add roasted garlic, cream cheese and softened butter...makes a great dip as well wrap around the Prosciutto. Bake for 8 minutes and serve on platter. I like to drizzle Balsamic Vinegar over them before serving. Never one left on the plate.

I have made these numerous times and every time they are delicious! I used smithfield salty ham last time and everyone raved about the flavor!

I have made this recipe three or four times for my husband's family. It looks impressive on the plate, yet doesn't require a lot of effort. It transports well for a family gathering since I always serve it at room temperature. I always salt the asparagus because the prosciutto I use is so thin that some bites of asparagus aren't covered and would be bland otherwise. (But, I never think anything is too salty, so that's a matter of personal preference.

These were great; but after reading other reviews I omitted the salt; and also wrapped the asparagus before I roasted them. It crisped the prosciutto. Really delicious

For a classic appetiser....Pan sear the asparagus in olive oil to about 50% doneness...Wrap in prosciutto..and place two bundles per person on baking dish..heat oven to 400....and roast for about 5 minutes...as you roast...make one sunny side up egg per person in a pan with very light butter...when the asparagus are done...place two bundles per person on a plate and cover with a sunny side up egg..pepper to taste...serve with chilled champagne

I've never cooked asparagus before and I have to tell you this was the perfect recipe. My boyfriend does not like asparagus and once he tried this he couldn't believe the taste.
    Two thumbs up!!

This was very simple but you have to be careful to adjust the roasting time of the asparagus depending on how thick they are. Mine took less than 10 min to cook. Also, watch out for how much salt you use since the prosciutto is already plenty salty. This makes a great finger food!
