This is truly an italian version of a filipino chicken adobo, except on the sweeter side. I make this dish whenever I have friends over or even when I cant think of anything else to cook. It's easy and taste good, even our kids love it! Highly recommended!

The first time I made this I used a pack of chicken pieces(white and dark. My husband raved, but suggested I just use breast since it is our familys favorite. Next time I used just chicken breast. They loved it. My husband used the leftovers to make chicken salad and was still raving. Easy to make and a great different taste for the same tired baked chicken.

SO JUICY!!! All my guests were dying to eat just because of the smell while it was cooking. It would be so easy to put together last minute because all the ingredients are things I usually have on hand... it's easy... tastes great....Excellent Sunday meal with Giada's tomato vegetable casserole and rosemary parmesan breadsticks!

I tried this with just breasts (bone in and it was very good. The meat was tender and juicy. But I did have to cover the chicken mid way through because it was browning( actually began to burntoo quickly. Served it with rice and the sauce was very tasty. I did however thicken it just a tiny bit.
