I had never tried fennel before and I thought this might have been a good recipe to try it in. I was disappointed, it's very bland and just tastes like you roasted an onion. I would not recommend fennel by itself. I feel like you really need to pair it with meat or other veggies.

I was skeptical about fennel, but with the roasting, it turned out great. I thought red potatoes or asparagus would go nicely with this. Very good,

I made this with the Pork fig sauce and although the pork was also amazing, this dish was the favorite of the party. It is so simple and so rewarding.

I have always wanted to try fennel, however had no idea how to prepare it. This is so easy and so delish, its like candy for my husband and I. We fight for the leftovers! I would definitely recommend this.

I've made this several times, and it's always a hit. Even my toddlers like it! It's a great side.

i only made this because giada made it look so great!!! i made this along with the pork with port and figs (she made it in the episode together and it turned out so great, i've never been a fan of pork and have never eaten fennel and they both rocked! the only thing is is that to serve them both at the same time you definately need 2 oven's since they take about the same time to cook. It was super easy and not too many weird ingredients which makes it alot cheaper to make. Drink with a pinot and your good. this will swoon anyone into your arms! i think this may be the new turkey and cranberry(since the sauce is a touch sweet
