Yummy! I only had apple cider, so I used this in place of the apple juice, and it was delicious. Will definitely make again.

I love this recipe. I modified. I did not have apple juice so used a mixed berry juice. I added some pomegranate seeds and crushed cardamom seeds and grated nutmeg. To the top of pears before baking delicious.!

Easy and delicious. I used light brown sugar and salted butter, cooked 1hr. We had trouble letting them cool before enjoying.

I made this dessert tonight, so simple and delicious. I added some of my own touches which consisted of a sprinkle of cinnamon and instead of ice cream, I used whipped cream. And garnished with caramel syrup. Yummy!!!

I thought this was very tasty considering how easy it was to make with such simple ingredients. I liked that I could make this dessert on a budget with items I normally have in the pantry. It didn't keep so well in the fridge overnight. It still tasted as good, but the butter solidified and the pears got really dark from absorbing the syrup. I would make this again!

I am not a fan of roasted pears or baked apples in lieu of chocolate or pies and pastries for dessert. However, we were having a dinner party last year and one of the guests has celiac disease so I was looking for gluten-free options for dessert. I saw this recipe on Everyday Italian and decided to give it a try. I LOVE it...every bit as much as any other holiday dessert. I panicked a little when I couldn't find the recipe because I plan to make it again this year. I was thankful to find it online. This is a must...a very decadent dessert and good for company.
