I loved the sauce, I made a little less as it's just me & my husband - used a quarter cup each of broth & marsala wine, along with the beef juices - it came out great, like a tasty au jus. I also used beef half the size & cut the cooking time in half, but I think the cooking temperature is too high - my pan went black in the oven & set the fire alarm off when I opened the oven! Not a great roast beef recipe for me, but I liked the gravy.

Made this for Christmas Eve and was not disappointed. It was my first time making Prime Rib so I followed the recipe exactly-- it was perfect. Didn't love the Marsala sauce, it was a bit too sweet for me but the meat didn't even need it, it was tender and flavorful!

The meat was cooked perfectly. It's the Marsala and Thyme sauce that was dreadful. I had to doctor it up and add more beef stock. Way too much Marsala and way too much Thyme for my taste.

OMGoodness...this recipe was so easy, simple and loaded with flavor. In a word, DELICIOUS. I was worried that I would under or over cook the meat. The smell of the thyme throughout the house enhansed the other Christmas scents. We will be having Prime Rib for Christmas dinner for now on.

Thank you, Giada! This was so wonderful! We made it for Christmas dinner. I was nervous working with an $80 piece of meat, but you sure didn't let me down. I used the oven temperature probe and the meat was just perfect! And, while the meat needed no extra adornment, the sauce put it over the top! Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Made this for Christmas Eve dinner, my family went CRAZY over it! This recipe is so simple, it's perfect for the first time cooking a rib roast. I loved the simple ingredients and basic instructions, which allowed me to focus my time and attention on the side dishes too. My house too smelled amazing. Thank you Giada, always an inspiration!

Delicious and pretty darn easy. Added butter to the rub and used the drippings to make au jus instead of Marsala and can't wait for the next special occasion. The house smells amazing, wish we could bottle it!!

This is worth it for the sauce alone! Thanks, Giada.
