I used Parmesan cheese and panko bread crumbs and it turned out great! Cut the recipe way down and was still able to make it work!

Okay so I messed this one up a bit but they still turned out great! Instead of gorgonzola, I used brie and feta with panko bread crumbs and they were awesome! My husband and co-workers loved them and I will definitely make them again.

This did not work for me. I think the ratio of cheese to bread crumbs should be more like 3:1. The bread taste was overwhelming and not good. I love gorgonzola and this just looked so good on Giada's show. I was so disappointed.

Fabulous recipe. Served it at a big party and everyone wanted the recipe. I am making them again for Christmas Eve dinner.

OMG.... I had some 'pre-compost' tomatoes that looked pretty sad and I made this recipe. I had panko breadcrumbs (love the crunch and also used shredded parm instead of the gorgonzola, since that was in my fridge. Baked until crispy on top, 35 minutes. I had about 10 tomatoes and they were so good I had them all at one time for a supper. My mouth waters just thinking of some more. So very good and crunchy and delish.

very good flavors and a great way to use all the tomatoes from my garden. i used mozzarella cheese instead because I already had it at home. The only problem was the cheese got more crusty rather than melty like i had expected, but it gave the tomatoes a nice crunchy topping. I would make this again for sure.

I used flavored bread crumbs -- maybe it gave the extra flavor it may have needed others talk about. I HATE tomatoes -- but I love this dish!! Probably taking out slimy yucky seeds helped : I love that this tasted so good but was so easy to make. I am going to send this recipe to all my friends.

If you like Gorgonzola cheese, you will love this! The recipe was a huge hit in my house and it paired wonderfully with the pasta (red sauce we had for dinner.

Very tasty and so easy....I used regular garden tomatoes and I mixed the olive oil with the parmesan and bread crumbs prior to spooning onto the tops of the tomatoes so the topping would pack together and stay on the top. It worked well. I did bake longer, perhaps 35 minutes.
