This was a great, quick appetizer. Easy directions and you can substitute different cheese if the gorgonzola is not for your taste. My boyfriend reheated the leftovers the next day and almost liked it better that way!

I used half of the tomatoes called for and substituted large mushroom tops for the other half. I reserved the scooped out mushrooms, diced them up and added them to the breadcrumb mixture. I made this recipe for myself because my husband is anti-tomato/fungus. Because mushrooms are so hearty, I cut the meat from my dinner along with the extra calories.
Next time, I'm making my husband try them. I'm sure he'll like it.

You can't go wrong with this one! I don't even eat tomatoes and I LOVED it. This is the perfect appetizer or side dish.

These were so juicy and delicious! I thought Gorgonzola would be too strong, but surprisingly the flavor mellowed out when prepared like this. I drizzled the rest of the garlic & olive oil marinade on top of the halves. I was not able to eat these with my hands, but with a fork it was perfectly fine. I cooked mine for 20 minutes. I think these would be great as an appetizer or side item. I'm going to make these all the time now! Next time, i'll try it with Parmesan.

These are easy to make and so delicious. I made this as a side dish for me and two other people so I halved the recipe. Everyone was raving about it. I think next time I might just put in garlic powder (into the marinade instead of minced garlic... just to make sure the garlic really gets all over the tomatoes (I love garlic. Otherwise, I loved this recipe!

If you think gorgonzola has too much bite don't worry... it mellows out just a little bit in this recipe.

Highly recommend as an appetizer or for a side dish!

This recipe is not only delicious but very easy to make. I served this as a side dish with beef tenderloin, along with other side dishes, but really just to add a little color to the plate. I didn't expect it to be the big hit of my dinner!! Everyone wanted more but I only made enough to serve 2 halves on each plate. I tested one before stuffing all of them and felt I needed to add just a little olive oil to the stuffing mixture so that the bread crumbs were not dry in the middle. I do think they would be a little difficult to eat as an appetizer, without a little plate, as they were on TV. They make a beautiful presentation and I will definately be making these again!

Delicious flavors and smells! Very easy, simple ingredients that can be found at a corner market. Mine were maybe too soft? I gave 4 stars because these are messy to eat...difficult to use as party appetizer.
