I found this to be a very good dish. Always been a fan of Giada's recipes. There's a few pointers I can give. I made this with just boneless chicken breasts.
First cut the breasts in half on an angle to reveal more surface area to brown the chicken and allow the sauce to do its thing . Also try using a skillet for the whole dish. Some modern pans lack the thick billet needed to maintain heat for such a dish.
Salt and pepper your chicken liberally before. Do take the time it takes (regardless of the time stated in the recipe to get the chicken breasts to brown (not blacken. You know it is getting to a good point when the chicken by itself starts to smell good enough to eat by itself.
Use the fresh herbs! Kick up the wine to 1 cup. Also remove the chicken after the 30 minutes and cook the sauce longer to let it reduce.

I have made this recipe several times and it's always been a hit with my family. My daughter has made it for her boyfriend as well and he loves it. I make the recipe pretty much to the letter, I leave out the capers though because I don't like them. And I've only put chicken thighs in once. I always opt for lower fat by using skinless chicen breasts. I saw one review that called this recipe lackluster and I don't see how that can be if using all the ingredients and following the proportions. We like a little more juice so we add a little more broth than what was is called for and it still turned out great.

I made this dish last night, exactly as directed, and it was just okay. Not bad, but not amazing. I went a little heavy with the salt and pepper so the chicken didn't turn out as bland as some of the other reviewers mentioned. I do feel like something is missing. I think next time I will take the suggestion of a previous reviewer and use Rotel instead of regular diced tomatoes and add tomato paste to make the sauce thicker.

When I saw this had over 1000 reviews and 5 starts I figured I had to try it. This was the most lackluster dish I have ever made. I don't see how it's rated a 5 star. We will not make this one again.

Yum Giada! We love this recipe! My husband says he will eat this anytime, this is his favorite and really trusts any recipe from Giada! I always can't wait to make it and eat it, super easy to make! Right now, her Balsamic chicken recipe is in the oven, can't wait to eat it!

I gave this three stars because while this not a poor chicken recipe, it also is not a great one. There is no surprise of a great flavor or unique taste . It is chicken with peppers. That being said, it is a solid dish - just not a dish that is memorable or outstanding. I will probably not make it again.

Made this yesterday for friends and got rave reviews. So easy and wonderful flavors. The only thing I did differently was I only had boneless, skinless chicken breasts, but still really good
