Awesome!! I was skeptical about the marsala wine too, but I did it... great combination! As a few others stated, it takes more than 5 minutes to break down the onions and peppers, more like 20 minutes to get them to the right softness. I also mixed hot and sweet sausage, just a preference. This recipe is a keeper and very easy to make.

Like another here mentioned, internet recipes always leave me thinking, "I could have done this better".
NOT THIS ONE!!!
I'm generally not one to look up Italian style recipes, as my Noni taught me all about cooking Italian foods. I personally have never been very fond of sausage and peppers, so I wasn't exactly sure how to make them. When I read this one, I thought this should work!
WOW! it sure did work! I used hot sausage and omitted the red pepper flakes. No leftovers here!!
Thanks Giada!

This was very flavorful! My family loved it! You could taste every ingrediant individually, but at the same time came together perfectly!Keeping this in my recipe box, thanks!

Absolutely delicious! I added slice mushrooms and a good quality red wine instead of the Marsala. Everyone loved it, whether eating it with a fork or as a sandwich on toasted Chiabatta (with provolone. Thank you Giada!

Absolutely delicious. The diced tomatoes, fresh basil, and marsala wine bring this to another level.

I've made similar recipes before, but the Marsala wine really improves the flavor. I went San Genaro festival on this (Next month in NYC with toasted Semolina and the thick layer of fresh Mozzarella.

So delicious and easy. My husband and son love this recipe. They like it over bread, I just eat it out of a bowl.

This recipe is great! I have made it more than 15 times. Sometimes as an appetizer sometimes as a main dish. I don't serve it immediately I usially make it a day ahead. It's easy and flavorful.

I love this recipe! I make it with red wine and when I don't have fresh peppers, I use a frozen bag. It still comes out sooo good!!!! We eat this with rice and then our leftovers with bread. So easy and really tasty! Try it!
