These will undoubtedly become a staple in our home. The sauce is great - and makes them a little more special than your typical sausage sandwich with grilled onions. Yum!

The recipe was awesome. All wonderful flavors. I recommend getting good bread though. I couldn't find the recommended bread, just what my local grocery store had in the bread aisle. The sausage, peppers and onions were so juicy, the bread just fell apart. Great as left overs too.

This is such a great receipe, I do suggest that when cooking use a stock pot unless you have a really large pan... I had switch to a stock pot in the middle of cooking but it did turn out wonderful!!!!!

I made this using Boca meatless Italian sausage and it was a hit. My meat eating husband said it is a keeper! We plan to serve this at our next party.

Excellent!...Have made versions of this for years, but the Marsala and tomato paste made this!..try amore sun-dried tomato paste, comes in a tube...their garlic paste is excellent too...if u can find them...we used sweet italian pork sausage, and it was great....a real keeper...the best i've ever made or tasted...can't quit grazing on it...also, takes longer than called for....

A little on the messy side (I recommend serving open-face sandwich style, but oh, so yummy - and easy!

I work at an Italian Restaurant and this Sausage, Peppers and Onions is fabulous! In comparison to ours there's no competition. I substituted the sausage for chicken breast ( since my family is not big on sausage and it went over wonderfully!
