Excellent! Because I wanted to use this recipe to make sandwiches, I made a few changes. First, I cooked the onion and peppers for 12-15 minutes to make sure they were completely softened, and to eliminate extra moisture. Then, I used two cans of cut tomatoes (with basil, garlic, and oregano, drained of juice (saved for another day and another recipe. I sliced the French bread rolls and toasted the opened halves under the broiler, before loading them up with the sausage-tomato mixture. My husband and I were delighted with the results. The sandwich is like an Italian-style Philly sandwich (minus the cheese. The next time I make this recipe, I may try adding a slice of mozzarella or provolone to the sandwich and grilling it under a broiler just before serving. A perfect make-ahead, game-day or movie-night sandwich.

Outstanding! We love this recipe. The last time we made this we used brats instead of sausage, added fennel with the peppers and substituted beer for the marsala. Delicious!

I absolutely loved this version of an Italian classic. The only thing I will do differently next time is keep the sausage whole instead of cutting it into pieces since we love eating this as a sandwich, the cut up sausage made it very difficult to eat. I am going to add this recipe into my rotation and make it again and again! Thank you Giada!!

Delicious recipe - as standard. Altered the recipe for a friend who does not eat pork and one that is a vegetarian - by using vegetable sausage. I also used more red pepper to add some heat and the recipe was really well received. Will definitely use it again.

This is the third time I made this recipe. It comes out "Great" every time. Very tasty. This time I used sweet and hot Italian sausage and it worked out perfectly.

This was an excellant receipt, gives a nice nice taste to your usual sausage, peppers and onions. Made it for a big crowd and they all loved it. Wine gives it alot of favor. I used chicken and turkey sausage. Really good and will be using this receipe again!!! Tks, Giada
