My husband and I were tired of the same old vegies for dinner: french green beans, sauteed peppers, mushroom medley, etc. I saw this recipe on Everyday Italian and thought it looked fabulous and it is truly that! The balance of the sweet from the raisins with the heat from the crushed red pepper was perfect!
I've even added things like sundried tomato and lemon juice to add my own twist.

The rabe seemed a little soggy from the broth, but focused preparation can avoid it. The red pepper flakes add a nice zing.

This is a very good recipe and very healthy too. The pine nuts make it kid friendly. The first time I made it I went too quickly in the cooking process. More flavor comes out if you saute at the final stage until the water is absorbed and the oils and spices are well blended. This would be good with breakfast eggs benedict too!

The ease of preparation is a major plus to this recipe. I love the idea of raisins (I used golden, as the sweetness offset the bitterness of the rapini. Thank-you, Giada, for another winner! My three girls even loved it!
