Great recipe. Have tried a few others on this site, this recipe is my favorite. If you do not make the parmesan crips, you can sprinkle some parmesan on the beans... still delicious.

Simple, healthy, flavorful. I skipped the baked cheese. Instead, I added a splash of fresh lemon juice and sprinkled fresh parm just before serving. Next time I might try it with feta. Keeper.

This recipe is a very good, quick, everyday type dish. Skip the cheese, buy tomatoes with no salt. The dish is still very tasty and satisfying. Healthy too.

These green beans were REALLY REALLY good. I didn't have shallots, so I used scallions and they turned out very tasty. The second time I made them, I used canned green beans and stewed tomatoes and they were still very good. I'm not a big fan of tomatoes, but you'd never guess that by the way I demolished this dish...it was flavorful. I would definitely recommend.

Great with steak and corn for a summer meal. The flavors are great and the beans are crisp and fresh.

Delicious! I had a large tomato to use up so I substituted it for the canned tomatoes. Since it didn't have as much juice as canned tomatoes, I added the wine a little earlier along with about 1/4 cup chicken broth to help the green beans along. I'll definitely keep this in my arsenal of summer recipes!

fast, easy and a new spin on green beans. I did not have canned tomatoes and opted for fresh grape tomatoes.
