When I first made this, I'd mistakenly received some arugula in a box of vegtables from a local farmer's market. I'd never eaten arugula and wasn't sure what to do with, but thanks to this and other recipes I've found on Food Network and foodnetwork.com, it's quickly become one of my favorite greens. I've made this particular recipe several times since discovering it, once using seeded, roasted jalapenos instead of roasted red peppers, and it still got raves. This is one of those recipes making the rounds among family and friends. Thanks.

I actually got this recipe from Giada's book, but wanted to review it here. It was great. I also used her recipe for roasted bell peppers, but you could probably use store bought ones. But with some planning, you can roast your own. I did think there was was too much red pepper called for given the arugula was only three cups, but you can adjust that to taste and preference. Arugula is strong and the dressing was delicious with it. It cut some of the tang of the arugula just enough to make the whole mix perfect. Use a good cut of beef, or the recipe will be a disaster. I served this with Ina Garten's French String Beans and put the beans in the searing pan for the steak to heat them up before putting over the vegetables. This pulled the entire meal together and it was a perfect dinner.

This was certainly edible and we love every single one of the parts of this recipe, just not together. The steak was cold by the time it was added, and the dressing mixed with the drippings was good... but steak salad just didnt do it for us. My husband removed all the arugula back to the serving bowl and ate the steak and the peppers. Balsamic marinated chicken on spinach or arugula salad with bacon goes together much better than this does.

This was my very first meal to prepare from Giada's show "Everyday Italian". It was absolutely delicious! The best part about it -- it was easy to prepare. I highly recommend this dish to all you Italian food lovers. It's light and fresh with the spiciness of the arugula and red peppers, yet it satisfies any meat lovers appetite. The dish not only tasted great it looked beautiful. I took several pictures of my accomplishment. I was so proud!
