Saw this last weekend and couldn't wait to try it. The vinaigrette is perfect! Make sure to use fresh potent curry powder, preferably with at least medium heat. I added another pear after reading other reviews, was glad I did. Thanks, Giada!

This was good, but thought there were way too many carrots. I would have liked it to have more pears. I even used three pears instead of two, but still would have liked more pears than that! Also, the dressing wasn't THAT flavorful. It was okay, but I felt like something was missing. It could have been sweeter or saltier or both, not sure what... I also was not a fan of the fresh parsley and the flavor it added to this.

If I make this again, I am using a LOT less carrots and MORE pears.

Update: As leftovers, it's a bit tastier since it has had time to sit in the fridge and soak up the flavors.

I saw Giada prepare this dish today & since I had all the components on hand I decided to give it a try. So glad I did. This was a very refreshing salad & super easy to put together. I added a little extra honey & salt & did a combination of curry & dry mustard. The flavors developed beautifully when refrigerated for at least an hour after tossing. My husband really enjoyed it. Will be making it again...soon.

We're not fans of curry, so I substituted dry mustard. Very simple prep and a really nice range of flavors!

I loved this dressing and the entire salad. I added a little chicken to add some protein.

I made this nice summer salad and it was delicious. I did not have pears so I added apples instead. I love the fact that it is not a typical green salad! It is also very versatile. Loved the curry dressing.
Thank you and keep up your great work!

The curry vinaigrette was wonderful! I would have given the recipe 5 stars except I found that making the carrot ribbons was quite tedious. I decided to serve the carrot/pear mixture on a bed of mixed baby greens, and that worked out quite well.
