It had a perfect taste. I substituted pancetta with ground pork and added cream cheese, parmesean, mixed Italian cheese instead of ricotta and asiago. I did not wanted a rich cheesy sauce, so added parmesean around 3 tbsp to the heavy cream. This blend was simply light n v. tasty. My husband n I just loved it!!!

The sauce plus all the cheese that was used in the shells was just way way way too much cheese. It would have been so much better with a tomato sauce. As one reviewer said, it was too heavy. It was not very tasty. The cheese just overpowered all the other flavors. Also it is a good idea to use more pancetta as well as to make the pieces into bigger chunks.

my housekeeper and i have been eating the leftovers all week! this recipe makes enough for 8 people. do not skimp on the pancetta anddo not substitute the asiago- . it smells bad, but using another cheese only creates grease/oil and the taste is not the same. i know first hand. i make this recipe once a month since i've had it.

This recipe was real easy to make and very flavorful. My only complant was that it was a bit rich...the asiago cheese combined with the pancetta added a very bold flavor, anf you definitely can't eat too, too much of it. But the flavors really melded well together in this tasty, easy, gourmet-like meal. Thanks, Giada! :o

This is one of my top favorite, easy, and flavorful recipes. I have been making it for years. Don't skimp on the pancetta! It's the main meat in the dish and reasonably priced. I only use one package of frozen spinach because I like it to be creamier. I also use an Italian blend of cheese (whatever Kroger, Sargento or Kraft have instead of splurging on asiago by itself. You can't really tell the difference. Instead of the sauce with the recipe, I just pour a little bit of pasta sauce on top to make sure the shells don't dry out and I pour cheese on top of that. YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS RECIPE!

I'm glad I read the comments for the idea of switching out the spinach with broccoli. Having made it both ways, I prefer it with broccoli.

My daughter and I love this recipe! I found it a few years ago and now my daughter requests it for her birthday every year. It's quick and easy and so delicious. We used ham instead of pancetta this year and it was still great.

This was delicious and everyone loved it. Maybe add a little more pancetta next time. Also would make more of the sauce as the shells absorbed all of it but it was still delicious. Also would make side dish to go with this or a protein.
