Made this with the short ribs and it was out of this world! Brought dinner to a friend and was short on time, so I used a rotisserie chicken in place of the short ribs. It was still fabulous! Can't wait to make it again.

I was looking for a short rib recipe that used pinot noir because it was the only red wine I had in the house and I had the most fabulous ribs in the fridge. Sorry, Giada, I didn't make the whole lasagna recipe. I just made the ribs, served them with cheddar jalapeno grits and stir fried cabbage. My husband loved them so much I had to make them twice in one week! FABULOUS!! I promise I'll make the lasagna for Christmas. Every single recipe I get from Giada is a revelation. In particular her chicken rosemary burgers are a huge hit whenever I make them. Thank you SOOO much and keep up the good work!!!!

This recipe is delicious!! But instead of using short ribs, i used lamb shank i believe. My uncle gave it to me and cooked it just like the short ribs. I loved the flavor but there was much more fat on them than the short ribs so it was a bit more time consuming but defininetly worth it! Like i said when i reviewed the roasted apple pies with whipped cream by Giada De Laurentiis, i always try to add something different or sustitute some ingredient for another one.

This is so delicious! I thought I had made enough extra to freeze some but it was all gone after dinner! Highly recommended and not too difficult! Excellent way to get family to eat spinach!

Easy to prepare and a great take on lasagna! Made the filling and meat ahead and assembled later. It worked out great. A man's dish!

This is truly delish! I especially love that you can make the filling ahead of time and then assemble it next day if you want to. You could even assemble it all and freeze it until needed. I love making a double batch, one to make for dinner and one to freeze. You have to discipline yourself to not eat all the filling before you've even made the roll ups! I think that this would taste really yummy over some creamy polenta too!

This is a winner dish! My whole family loved it. It did take time to cook the meat, but in my opinion the actual preparing was no more than 7 minutes. The rest of the time the stove and my dutch oven did the work. As for the rolls they were simple and super easy. Not labor intense like the below comments. Like I said the meat took awhile but I did nothing while it was cooking. Best Lasagna dish I have ever made! Thanks Giada!

A lot of work but worth every second of effort. I love with way the cheese oozes into the sauce adding an vodka sauce type of flavor. GREAT RECIPE!!!
