For years I have searched for a Tomato Sauce that I like, none of the stuff out of a jar cuts it so I generally don't eat spaghetti at home until now! I saw Giada on the Today Show where she won the title of "Sauce Boss" but this is not quite the same recipe as she shows on the TV show.

And if you didn't find this to be the best sauce you've ever tasted the problem is most likely that you used garlic, the recipe on the show and this page says to use Garlic, but the video explains how to make Tomato Basil Sauce, watch the video on the Today show again, Giada specifically says she DOES NOT USE GARLIC. There is NO garlic in that recipe, using Garlic changes the entire taste of the sauce.

I have made this for several friends and they all love it. Giada is the Sauce Boss!

This sauce was pretty bland. It is amazing that she was labeled as "the sauce boss" on The Today Show. I had to add more garlic, more basil, and some red wine too do the sauce would have some flavor.

Excellent sauce. I used tomato purée and an immersion blender, then refrigerated it for a couple of days to let the flavors come together before using it on brown rice pasta, with just a sprinkling of Parmesan, a drizzle of olive oil, and fresh ground black pepper. Absolutely delicious.

this was my first homemade sauce and it was amazing! kind of a hassle to have to food process it all at the end but that is only because i have a mini food processor. my boyfriend loved it too! the pasta, sauce and meatballs disappeared very quickly!

I've made this tomato sauce twice and followed the directions exactly as written. It is wonderful. The first time I used it for chicken parmesan and it was delicious. As usual, Giada has provided a easy and delicious recipe. It is my go to recipe for tomato sauce.

I have been making this sauce for over a year and I love it. I don't own a food processor but an immersion blender works fine. Also, I like to add a pinch or two of red pepper flakes for some spice. Everyone loves this sauce... so easy and so much better than a jarred sauce!

I followed the recipe exactly the first time I made this, and it was excellent. Today, I added mushrooms (16 oz pre-sliced mushrooms when I added the carrot, and cooked it until the mushrooms were fully cooked. I then followed the recipe to the letter. Three words - BEST SAUCE EVER!

This recipe has great flavor. It's a bit chunky for some of my recipes, so next time I'll make it 2 ways - some the original way, and then some will be blended smooth. Wonderful!
