THE BEST - I made mine with diced rather then crushed tomatoes because we like a thicker sauce. I mashed the tomatoes a little with my masher rather then in the food processor. So simple and so luscious!! A superb quick delicious sauce good for many different pasta or meat dishes!!

I didn't even mind waiting 1 hr 1/2. So worth it. Will definitely keep this in my recipe box.

I thought it was pretty good to use for Chicken Parmesan and would give it a 4 star myself. Would stick to my normal sauce, though, for spaghetti and pasta. My husband thought it was too much tomato flavor and didn't like it. I have about 4 cups left that I froze and will try for the Vodka pasta sometime.

This was simple, but turned out very nicely - great blend of flavors, easy to make, and I did not have to add butter to smooth it out...a keeper!

I loved the flavors in this dish. Of course I added more garlic and just a dash of sugar to off-set the acidity of the tomatoes. It freezes well too! When the sauce is cool, I pour it into large freezer zip bags then place the bag on a cookie sheet. The cookie sheet goes into the freezer; when sauce is frozen I remove the cookie sheet. It is easy to stack 2 or 3 bags of sauce in the freezer without taking up too much room.

My husband finds tomatoes to not be on his 'A' list, but i thought i would use this recipe along w/ my chicken parmesan. HE LOVED IT...and i did too! Thanks Giada!

Much better the second time, even. Make sure to blend / puree the sauce after you cook it for even flavor distribution.

This is pretty fast for a fresh sauce, and easy! Improvise the recipe with what you have on hand- didn't have celery, added extra onion... it's delicious! No more jarred sauce in this house. Too easy to keep these ingredients around.
