Absolutely delicious!! Was wondering if the ingredients would go well together and they went so well together! My fiancé was blown away! I would suggest keeping the pasta separate from the yummy toppings so you could just add them onto the spaghetti.

This is indeed a tasty recipe. I made the reciple just as it's written and only added some fresh basil on top for garnish. If you are fussy like me about al dente veggies then definitely use the ice water. It only took about 90 seconds after the water had returned to a boil to cook the thin asparagus (19 stalks in a pound. The thicker stems might take longer. The smoked mozzarella I bought at Trader Joe's didn't melt as quickly as I would have liked and if using this brand again I would coarsely grate instead.

Very tasy, just the way it is!

Also, to the previous poster...I am fairly sure that if you don't use proscuitto or smoked mozzarella, that it isn't even close to the same recipe...

My sister does not eat meat so I skipped the prosciutto, instead I threw in some red pepper flakes to spice things up. I also didn't have mozzarella so I replaced it with goat cheese that I put on top of the plate. I thought it was pretty darn good and so did my sister.

The first time I made it exactly according to directions. It was good, but the prosciutto added an odd flavor to it. I made it a second time and first cooked the prosciutto (even though it was already cooked for a few minutes. That made a difference in the overall flavor. Much better. The dish has a different, but really enjoyable flavor.

loved this! but my store didn't have prosciutto or smoked mozzarella, so i substituted regular fresh mozzarella and bacon. the smokiness from the bacon takes the place of the smokiness you would get from the smoked mozzarella, and it was delicious! and who doesn't like bacon?

I get requests to make this for every occasion. But I added a pkg. of crumbled bacon to the finished dish and I add a carton of sliced mushrooms when I saute the garlic in olive oil. Everyone is crazy over this dish and has become a family favorite.

Absolutely delicious...Simple and so tasty. My husband, who is not the biggest fan of asparagus, loved it as well. Would be a great spring/summer dinner.
