This is a great new way to use squash and eggplant, two vegetables my family ran from. The flavors are subtle, but like other reviewers, a bit of extra garlic and for mw thyme made a difference. My teens and husband loved it.

I agree with Patty, it really needs an extra kick-more garlic for sure! The next day we added Parmesan to the leftovers. It helped a little.
