I tried this nut snack for a party. The walnuts were especially good and I may try to do this sometime with only walnuts. The nuts were very flavorful, warm, and zesty! I loved how all the spices complemented one another. There are definitely good to serve with a coctail party; they add warmth to the icy drinks. I was able to get the ground cardamon at my grocery in one of those small container of spices for $1.99, it had an interesting taste and component to the recipe. I was thinking of possibly using a little dry mustard and a little more sugar to give them a honey mustard flavor next time. Great recipe Giada, thanks...love your show and your recipes!

This is a great snack. I omitted the cardamon because I didn't have any
and substituted peanuts for walnuts. I will make it again.

I'm making these nuts for a July 4th cookout. Did anyone mind buying cardamom? My store wanted $14 a jar for it. I'm going to try the recipe without it. Hope it tastes just as good.

these nuts were SO tasty the spice mixture was perfect- all my guests raved about them. i used madras curry powder and had no problem with overt cumin flavor some have complained about. well definitely be making these again.

We have been wanting to make these ever since we saw Giada talk about them on TV awhile back. Finally got around to it, and WOW. These are fantastic! The spice comination is very complimentary and powerful. They are not your ordinary snack but rather something special and different. Great recipe!

I tried these as one of the appetizers for a dinner party. They are super easy to make and so delicious! The seasonings make a delightful combination of spicy flavors. Beware - these nuts are addictive.

I am sorry to see the continuing jealous remarks in some of the reviews. Back to the recipe where we belong..

The seasoning is much more subtle than I had expected. I can't imagine anyone finding these nuts anything but good~!

If you had the heat above the suggested temperature or leaving them in a little too long could cause the cumin to become a little bitter.. I will add this to my nut recipes. Great for taking as a hostess gift too~!
