And filling too, but I have lots left over because there's only 2 of us and we each ate 2 bowls. Maybe I'll halve everything next time.
I used a chicken broth I had boiled a duck in (and then froze ala Ina Garten so it had lots of flavor. I was a little nervous about using a half cup of chili powder, but it was really good.

This recipe is awesome. It makes enough to feed an army so unless you have a big family, plan on freezing some or making a 1/2 batch. I made it according to the recipe and served it with brown rice and topped with parmesan cheese and sour cream. This will be a staple around our house!

This was a very hearty soup! In a house full of meat eaters this really won thumbs up. I'm trying to ease into a vegetarian lifestyle and this recipe will help out a whole lot. I can ad pasta to the soup or make a thicker version and mix it with any pasta for an even heartier dish. I cut down on some of the chili powder because I thought 1/3 of a cup would work better for me. "This dish was wicked awesome, specially with the spicy cornbread!" Said my nephew. (Although the cornbread was that spicy it had a marvelous taste.

My husband doesn't like veggies at all (except potatoes and corn, but he really enjoyed this soup. I think because it is quite spicy anything could have been in it and it tastes like chili. Should probably cut the squash/zucchini up into smaller pieces. I think this is a great veggie dish and it is spicy, but not necessairly "hot". Would make it again

First of all, when you make this you will be amazed at how good this is. I have given this recipe to my whole family and every friend I know. They all tried it and wanted the recipe. It is so healthy and you don't even miss the beef or the fat in a regular american chili. My husband only wants to eat beef and said he thinks he likes this more than chili. Wonderful! Giada is Great! I watch her all the time.

This soup was excellent. My husband and I loved it.
I did cut the chili powder down a little only because I was nervous about using 1/2 cup, but I probably could have used the whole thing. This was easy to make and smells as good as it tastes.
It makes a lot, and I will probably cut it in half when I make it again.
