I thought it was good. You can definitely feel the pepper in your throat after you swallow, which was unexpected. But it keeps you wanting more!

I just made this milkshake and wow. I ended up using all the cayenne recommended, and about a quarter cup less milk as I like my shakes really thick.

    Fantastic.

I made these delicious milkshakes for a small dinner party I had. The girls were ready to try and the guys were pretty hesitant. Everyone, especially the guys, just loved them. I had to run out and get more ice cream so we all could have a second. A fantastic little bite right at the end. So fun!

I would not have tried this except I was a great bakery once and they had all of these chocolate candies made with different spices and peppers. I asked if they sold a lot of them and the salesperson said "we sold a ton of them. Spicy chocolate is very popular all over the world. The spices really bring out the flavor of the chocolate." So I gave one of the chocolate candies a try and LOVED it. I gave this a try because of that experience and because my daughter wanted to make it along with the wonderful pub burgers and fried apple and onion rings also from this same episode. ALL were outstanding!

The pepper and strawberries give the chocolate an exotic twist. Serve in 3oz chilled classes for those counting calories.

These milkshakes are so different to anything I have ever tasted. They are wonderful. We used Haagen Daaz Chocolate ice cream. That works really well!
    Thanks Giada!
