I saw this show and Giada really carries on about how delicious the little drumettes turn out. Well, they are good but nothing exceptional. I could not find smoked paprika after looking in three stores so I used 1 tsp ground chipotle and 1 tsp sweet paprika. I could not taste either after cooking. Maybe I'm just more used to spicy food. After trying the first batch, I improvised a very quick raita for a dipping sauce. I use a Fry Daddy to deepfry and there is no temperature adjustment and I found that 6 minutes frying time was much too long. 5 minutes was fully cooked but these drumettes were pretty small.

Absolutely LOVE this recipe. My husband and teenagers ask for it all the time. I cut the spices in half since my son is sensitve to them. I've also subsititued chicken legs and fry them for 13-20 minutes depending on size. At this point, I just need to invest in a good deep fryer!

Lets start out with the fact that i am in no way a pro chef (my family had their doubts that I even knew how to boil water but I saw Giada make these and I had to try them out. Let me just say these are Phenomenal!!! I followed the recipe exactly as she states it in the video and oh goodness, these drumettes were incredibly delicious. I love giada and this recipe is one of my absolute favorites! I've made it 3 times now and my family and I have loved every bite...my family knows better than to doubt me now :

Nothing special. I actually baked the second batch using only bread crumbs, no flour. It was better this way.

Love this receipe. This is the first one of Giada's receipe's I've tried. Taste was slow, paced and lasting. Love the Curry Powder, Cayenne and Paprika...just melts in your mouth. Great Receipe especially for say half-time during a televised Football Game; an appetizer for say a Post Season Basketball Game at the half; a nice little dish during intermission of a televised Baseball Game...LOVE IT. Giada is a real Chef. I will be trying more of her receipe's in the future. Keep up the good work, girlfriend!!!
