Watery. Probably better off if you seeded the tomato first to rid of some of excess liquid. Disappointed.

I was not pleased with this one. Wish I had put jalapenos in it. Not much flavor. On the other hand, this would be good for small children that don't like strong flavors.

I decided to try this and make it because I was curious to know what it would taste like. Also this is not the traditional way of making Mexican Salsa.

Maybe this is a Italian salsa but there is no such thing of an Italian salsa lol.

Real authentic salsa is "Tomatos, brown onion, cilantro, jalapenos, garlic, salt and pepper. And you blend it all in a food processor.

And it varies on the jalapenos on how hot you want it.

Sorry Giada......you are a chef and should know that true salsa doesn't have red pepper flakes lmao I'm sorry....I was laughing when I watched her make this on her show.

Just ok. I loved how fresh it was but it could use a little more flavor.

We enjoyed this very much! It is a fresh change from a traditional salsa. If you prefer a traditional one then you might want to pass on this recipe. But if you are open to something new and different you will enjoy it! It had a nice, fresh, light flavor and was very convenient as I already had all of the ingredients on hand! I also threw a small onion in half of the recipe and both were delicious.

What I think is that this should not be called "salsa" but "mild bruchetta". You can tell from the rest of the reviews that it does not succeed as salsa, because everything everyone suggests adding (and almost every review calls for adding ingredients is an item that makes traditional salsa salsa. And while I love tomatoes as much as anyone, a salsa HAS to have a bit of salt in it to bring out all the flavors. Once you've added onions, more pepper, and lime or lemon juice substituted for the orange juice, you've made traditional salsa, not what Giada is presenting in this recipe.
