These were as good as store-bought popsicles. I made them for kids but I think there should be less orange juice to highlight the watermelon flavor. Also for kids it would be better without the fresh mint.

I made these pops yesterday and they are so good and easy to make. I used 1/2 seedless watermelon using the orange juice and I eliminated the mint. I made the pops using 3 oz. cups (about 10 and poured the remainder of the mixture in a square baking pan and placed in the freezer. About every 30 mintues or so, use a fork and stir the mixture until it is firm but not frozen. Scrape with fork until ice crystals form and serve. Store remaining watermelon ice in freezer. The pops were just as delicious as the watermelon ice! This recipe is so delicious & very refreshing in this hot weather we are having here in NC these last few days! I may try this same procedure using lemonade....how good would that be. Enjoy!

I had high hopes for these for a 4th of July BBQ. I took the advice of others and cut down on the amount of mint, but it still completely overpowered the watermelon flavor. Everyone found them to be inedible, sadly. I normally love Giada's recipes, so I was really let down by this one.

A refreshing adult treat, to be sure. I used 1/4 cup of mint as some other reviews thought 1/2 cup was too much. I could taste the mint, but not so much that it overpowered the watermelon. At 1/4 cup, it just enhanced the watermelon flavor. These popsicles have just the right amount of watermelon vodka as well. If I hadn't known it was in there, I wouldn't have been able to taste it. Very tasty!

From May til September, this makes summer taste good. I think I am going to serve this for Thanksgiving too. With a little twist of spice maybe.

My 4 year old son had been eager to make these ever since he saw the show featuring them. Needless to say we made the non-alcholic version using fresh squeezed orange juice and we also cut down on the amount of mint. Well I'm glad my son kept insisting that we make them because they are terrific!!! Tasty and refreshing!! Good for a just a snack or to serve at a party!

I made them with liquor and without and they were both delicious. They froze well and stayed together on the stick.

I would scale back on the mint next time, though. They tasted like mint popsicles flavored with a little watermelon. Also be sure to puree until completely liquid. Biting into a chunk of frozen watermelon is a little awkward.

I used pineapple rum instead of vodka and they were yummy. The amount of alcohol called for in the recipe was good - didn't make them overwhelming.
