I thought the idea of the sandwich was good but when i prepared them for my husband we both found the spread for the sandwiches a little to strong for our taste

My husband turned 45 last week and I made these very easy and delicious sandwiches for our 25 guests. It was a little expensive (Rib eyes and gorgonzola but worth every penny! The compliments and the happy guests were worth the extra expense.

the marinade for this recipe was simple, and imparted a great taste for the steak. Followed the recipe to a "T".

I made only the steaks with the marinade. They were excellent. A unique combination of ingredients, but very delicious. I will try this with chicken and or pork. Who needs the cheese or the bread. Perfect as they are.

this is awesome. I made it for my husband's bday, had the family over. it was a hit. I should have left the bleu cheese on the side though, some people felt it overpowered the fantastic meat. used a really good fresh baguette from a local french bakery. served with frites dusted with parsley and sea salt with garlic aioli and roasted fennel. yum.

What a simple, rich marinade! The steak had SO much flavor and the leftovers were WONDERFUL! I didn't make sandwiches and didn't try the Gorgonzola accompaniment, but I'm sure it's equally good. Every recipe of Giada's has been consistently excellent.
