Great dessert! My family was so impressed with the creaminess and flavor of the dish. I would like to find a softer chocolate substitute so that it is easier to cut once it has been left in the freezer for a day.

Amazing dessert! I made this for a potluck, and it ended up being the best dish of the night. Everyone was raving about it.
Aside from using only 7 egg yolks (ran out of eggs and mixing in the Nutella a little longer, I followed the recipe exactly as described. I was worried about how it would turn out, but it ended up tasting great!
I made this 2-3 days ahead of time. It definitely helps to make it ahead of time so you can let it set longer. It starts melting pretty quickly once you take it out of the freezer though.
This recipe is a keeper!

YUM! I used cinnamon grahams for the crust (because Giada often does this, and I love it and almonds instead of hazlenuts. The only thing I would change is toning down the nutella; it was a bit much for me. Otherwise, loved this! And I really had fun making it too. :

I prefer the bright fresh flavors of Giada's lemon semifreddo. I would reduce the nutella to 1/4 cup next time as I thought the chocolate overpowered the flavor of the custard. Crust could be a little thinner too. Overall, a great dessert!

This dessert was a big hit! I made it for my mom for mothers day and she loved it!! There wasn't any left. Its not the easiest dessert because it is time consuming but the reward is worth it! A few tips: make sure pan is well greased, mine was a little tough to remove. Also I used chocolate biscotti and it made it even better.

This is one of the best desserts I've ever made or eaten. I brought it to a holiday celebration and everyone devoured it! It is time consuming to make, but I love it when I spend a lot of time on something, it comes out perfect, and it's a big hit! Well worth the time! Delicious!!
