This was so amazing! I love the creamy texture and that you don't use an ice cream maker. I've found if I leave it in the freezer overnight it gets pretty hard, but all you have to do is let it thaw and the same great texture and flavor is there. Yum!

Absolute Perfection ! Sweet but tart, creamy yet the frozen texture when you first bite into it is not. I can see me doing SO many more flavors with this.

Read no further. You NEED to make this. Easy, perfect balance of flavors, and a low-fat dessert to boot! I am the queen of changing recipes, but don't change this one. Giada got it just right.

I couldn't believe how easy and delicious this dessert was. Made for friends and we all enjoyed it. After they left my husband had another helping! He said it was so refreshing! It's a keeper. Thanks Giada!

OMG! This is so refreshing and tasty. I did use less mint in the syrup about a 1/4 cup. It's easy to make, and sooo flavorful! It's a keeper in my recipe file.

This is a great, refreshing, and easy summer dessert! I would recommend going a little light on the mint though, it slightly overpowered the strawberries. To anonymous: If you such a huge issue with mascarpone then don't make the recipe! Every cook has their own style and their own favorites. It just so happens that Giada like mascarpone. Get over it!

We took our grandchildren strawberry picking and came home with lots of berries. This was a delicious way to use the berries. Tonight we served it with a frozen chocolate mint girl scout cookie on the side. A perfect complement to the mint in the granita.

This recipe is super easy and the granita is so good! I left out the mint since I didn't have any on hand and I used frozen strawberries and frozen raspberries, it was absolutely delicious! I loved how it was fruity and icy but had a hint of creaminess from the mascarpone! Highly recommend trying it!

I decided to forego the mint because I knew my kids wouldn't eat it if I added the mint. It was a huge success. I wanted to drink the granita straight out of the blender without freezing it first. The mascarpone makes the granita smooth and creamy.

The anonymous person who posted earlier must have some kind of problem with mascarpone. Bothers me when people mess up the rating system that way.
