I have never baked anything from scratch before. I tripled this recipe for Easter and the scones came out AMAZING! The rosemary is just right, not too strong, but you can definitely tell its there and you can see it running throughout the scones. My only issue was that the jam ran off the scones instead of staying in the indentation, but I'm sure if I made the scones slightly thicker and the indent slightly deeper this wouldn't happen so much. I had to bake mine no more than 15 mins but all ovens vary. Usually scones are very hard and tasteless but these were the perfect texture. Giada used a heart shaped cookie cutter, but for Easter I used a bunny shaped one. They were such a hit with my family! They want me to make them for every holiday now! I made 27, so each batch yielded more like 9 instead of the 14 that the recipe says, but that was fine. Giada has the best recipes, she is so inspiring!!

Oh my gosh! These are fabulous. My family and everyone I give them to rave about them. I put glaze on them the first time I made them, but they do not need it. I have to stop making them so often, but they are so darn good. Not dry and hard like a lot of scones are and oh so yummy.

great recipe - ALWAYS turns out great! i use a flower shaped cookie cutter and put the jam in the middle - i think it cooks more evenly and looks really cute! for the glaze, i stopped using the water and just used fresh lemon juice until it reached the thickness i want.

Oh I absolutely LOVED these! I love scones, and I have also loved the combination of herbs with sweet. Espeically rosemary. I have been known to eat slices of rosemary bread with honey. So when these two worlds met in this recipe, I had to try it! It is absolutely not weird it is WONDERFUL! I also really like the lemony sweet glaze drizzled on top. I use a fork to get streaks of glaze running across each scone. I also used a 4-inch fluted heart cookie cutter and it made 8 scones and a little snack sized one for the baker. ; Therefore, I needed to half the glaze recipe. So delicious! Thank you Giada!!! I loved meeting you at your book signing and this recipe was inside. :

I loved these scones! I thought that the flavor combination was a little odd when I saw her make them on tv, but had to try it and will definitely make these again.

These were wonderful. The subtle taste of rosemary and the sweetness of the jam were the perfect combination. Light and tender I am sold on these. Can hardly wait to make them for my scone loving daughter.

Un. Be. Lieve.Able. Thank You, Giada, for another great addition to the food world. Yeah, there was enough glaze to do half a donut shop, but who cares? The rosemary adds just enough savory to balance the sweet. Yum. Mee.

WOW! These are the yummiest scones ever. Most scones are dry and I'm not a fan, but Giada's scones are so good moist, tender with a great butter taste. I used Raspberry jam as I did not have strawberry and they came out perfect. Next time I'll use my homemade lemon curd for a more lemon taste. Thanks Giada for a great recipe.

A delicious morning treat! I'm not a fan of strawberry jam, so I used lemon curd instead...so yummy!!!! A keeper recipe for sure!
