I love Giada. Her recipes always turn out perfect for me. Unfortunately, this strata was a disappointment. Bland, and reminiscent of a dry sponge. Perhaps the recipe was written incorrectly...

I made this dish for Christmas and it was delicious. Everyone attending dinner requested the recipe.

Really enjoyed this right out the oven but had to add ice cream which gave it the kick it needed. Next time tried whip cream on top and it was better. This recipe isn't very good after the first day. It just loses its taste and not sweet-bread is not a good leftover! Not sure I will make it again - took alot of eggs and its alot of work. I still love Giada though and she makes recipes that if you watch them on TV they are easy enough to follow to make yourself...For your recipes and Everyday Italian...Well Done Giada!

well, i changed the amount of eggs from 8 to 4,instead of 2 cups of milk I put 1 cup, and added 2 to 3 cups of sweeted strawberries and 1/4 cup of sugar and sprinkle a little on top. It was awesome just sweet enough, but not chocolate brownie sweet. I highly recommend it

I made this for a father's day breakfast for my husband and he LOVED it! It was really rich and filling! I recomend it. I forgot the ricotta but it was still awesome!

This recipe was just ok. The taste was mediocre for the amount of ingredients and steps involved. I doubt I will make it again.

I'll be honest I don't follow recipes very often, I have decent style in the kitchen all by myself. So, when I try a recipe out I expect it to be worth the work. I didn't find this to be a very flavorful dish. I actually took the leftovers, sliced it like bread and changed it into some decent french toast thingy...Which I had to do because there were so many leftovers!
