I was given a 2 lb. bag of sweet yellow and red baby peppers two days before a planned menu dinner party. Remembering this recipe, I pulled it out but didn't have any peas or pancetta! Raiding the pantry, I susbtituted artichoke hearts (1 15 oz. can which I rough chopped. I used Wal-Mart black pepper bacon (it's not smoked to sub for pancetta., and shallots for onion. I followed the rest of the recipe, with an addition of a tsp of garlic powder and a tsp. of onion powder. Delish! Tasted great the next night warmed up as a side dish. Tasted good cold as a snack. Had extra filling that could be used to stuff phyllo cups, put on crostini, fill mushroom caps, etc. A real keeper.

I tried the way the recipe was written...GREAT! And then I tried with bacon...BETTER! Then I tried it with regular cream cheese...BEST!

I had these at a friend's house and asked for the recipe. She said she'd gotten it from Giada, but I'd never heard of Giada, so I did an internet search for Jada, lol! Finally I figured out where to find the recipe so that I can make it myself!

The silky roasted peppers go really well with the creamy cheese filling. The peas are very mild (my anti-pea husband thought these were really good, too! and the crispy pancetta adds a terrific texture. I love to eat these, but they're so pretty that I like just looking at them too!

I can't wait to make these as a party opener, but I have not found the peppers in any local market. Any Help where to obtain? Paula Dean did a recipe with asparagas and a dill sauce which friends loved! I hate re-doing things for guests; no suprize kinda thing. Think these pepper poppers are a "Notch Above",Thanks Giada' but must say that Sanda Lee has the mushroom toasts to die for, couldn't keep those comming fast enough; used french bread in place of melba toast. Ok; I'm ravenous where's the baby bells? HELP!

I love these. They were awesome. I was afraid that my husband wouldnt like them but I think he ate more than I did. I was a little worried about the peas because I am not a huge fan of peas but you really cant taste them. I use bacon instead of pancetta and it was good. Thanks Giada!

I made these last night for my husband and myself and they were delicious! I only stuffed 8 peppers which was plenty for the two of us. I have about half the stuffing left over so I'll be making them again tonight or tomorrow.

I was sort of testing this out last night after I saw Giada make the peppers on the show from Saturday.

I would definitely make these for guests as an appetizer and i think everyone would be very impressed! They look so pretty!
