I made this for an appetizer for guests and they loved it. It was delicious with a glass of Pinot Noir. I will be making this again for my holiday party. I did not have a mini springofrm so I just doubled the recipe and used the standard size.

Very very good. I made the day ahead like Giada mentioned and WOW what a hit. I did not have a small springform pan so I just used a small oblong dish and otherwise followed the recipe exactly. What a great appetizer with a glass of wine. I didn't even use my food processor, just the softened cheese mixed well and chopped the fresh basil, small chop. Very easy. I will make again for XMAS entertaining. If you like basil this one is Excellent. I agree with other reviewer to go with a plain (good quality cracker.

I don't really like this recipe. Think would taste better if you just mix basil with cream cheese and put it on a cracker. Looks really pretty on a plate tho.

We really like this recipe! Such a nice change from just cheese and crackers. If you love cheese and you love basil... you can't go wrong with this one. One tip.. servce with very plain crakers, you don't want anything interfering with the flavor of the cheesecake..My smallest springform pan is 6 in diamater.. so if you run into the same problem just double the recipe.. it will go.. I promise.
